The implementation of the CDN.G ehealth project in three pilot health facilities in the western, littoral and central regions of Cameroon will begin on the 25 November 2011. This project is funded by the German Cooperation Agency CIM/GIZ and the World Francophone Numeric University in collaboration with the Cameroon Diaspora associations (Cameroon Diaspora Network Germany, Koegni-eHealth Innovation for Development, the Germano-Cameroonian forum for medical and paramedical Sciences, and the association Arzt Hilft) and the Cameroonian Health Informatics and Telemedicine Society.

The project will also be presented at the 3rd Camerounian Day of Medical Informatics and the 7th Health Informatics in Africa Conference (HELINA 2011) from November 28th to 30th in Yaoundé Cameroon (Nov. 2011). Members of the Cameroonian Diaspora in Germany have prepared scientific abstracts for both conferences. Furthermore, during the conference period, the Cameroon Diaspora will organize a workshop titled: Global eHealth initiative – African diaspora and the development of Health Informatics in Africa. The contribution of the Diaspora at the conference is founded by the CIM/GIZ.
